We’re excited to announce that Hope Story has been selected as an official charity partner for the 2027 Grandma’s Marathon Weekend (5K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon entries) which will be held Friday, June 18 – Saturday, June 19, 2027 in Duluth and Two Harbors, Minnesota.
As an official charity partner, we will be able to offer runners guaranteed entries in the 5K, Half Marathon, and Marathon races while also allowing them to raise funds that will enable Hope Story to bring hope to families whose child has received a Down syndrome diagnosis. Runner Requirements
- All runners must commit to meet or exceed the minimum fundraising requirement for their selected race by the appropriate fundraising deadlines. The minimum fundraising commitment of $450 for the 5k race, $750 for the half marathon or $1,000 for the full marathon. 1/2 of the fundraising commitment must be met by 1/15/2027 and the full fundraising commitment must be met by 05/1/2027. (A credit card authorization form will be required to secure your fundraising commitment before receiving a registration link.)
- Runners are responsible for making a donation (in addition to the fundraising commitment) to cover the cost of the race registration. (5K – $50, Half Marathon – $135, Full Marathon – $145)
- Attend our team Zoom calls. (We understand life happens, but in general we ask that you make every effort to attend the team calls. We expect to have 3 team calls before the event.
- All runners will receive, and are required to wear, a Team Hope Story race kit (you’ll be able to select a singlet, short sleeve, or long sleeve top.)
- Attend the team social event, details to be provided.
